Texture is the third weirdest tune on my album, Gestures. The 2nd weirdest would be “Perspective”, which is an atonal jazz fusion tune, heavy on counterpoint. The weirdest is “Balance”, a lovely modern-straight ahead jazz tune in 15 where the melody is executed on a chromatic harmonica. The only thing weird about texture is that I really pushed theme development to an uncomfortable level for an electronica tune.
Symmetry is an odd recording. I played all the instruments. Several Sting references, if you can decode them…
Form is a big band recording on my disk, Gestures. it’s actually a ‘fake” big band. I am the rhythm section. jeff kirk played saxes, and Greg McLean played trumpets. The trombones are all midi.
This is the first tune on my disk, Gestures.
